Art Camp 2005 in Mongolia

With the same concept as Art Camp 2004, around 30 artists from different countries will meet in an exchange where an exhibition, land art and performance is created on location and in collaborative ways.

Sthlm Art Fair 2005

Dalkh-Ochir and G.Logiiraz are together with Swedish artists invited to participate at the Sthlm Art Fair 2005 within the Swedish Institute´s presentation of a Mongolian/Swedish collaboration.

G.Logiiraz, a Mongolian artist in Sweden.

The Mongolian sculptor G.Logiiraz gives work shops in his unique skills of creating papíer–maché. He also holds lectures at the Royal Academy of Art and at Nyckelviksskolan – a school focused on craft in Stockholm – and at Umeå Academy of art and The Art School in Örebro. Logiiraz presents the exhibitions Contemporary Tanka at Galleri 60, in Umeå and Lightizm at Mellanrummet, The Royal Academy of Art, in Stockholm 2005.

Mongolian Art Party at Fylkingen, Stockholm

A follow–up and presentation of Art Camp 2004 with a Mongolian feature of the Mongolian throat singer D.Bayarbaatar, a fashion show and Mongolian wrestling. A full night with food, music and image.

D.Bayarbaatar, choreographer, and producer at the Mongolian National Drama Theatre. gives concerts at Etnografiska Museet and Fylkingen, and a course in throat singing at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm.

Art Camp 2004

From Mongolia came the wish to create meetings and interactions between artists. This lead to the idea of Art Camp, that in collaboration with Swedish artist was realized for the first time in the summer of 2004. The focus was put on what happens between people in a relatively spontaneous meeting between different forms of art, in a site specific work at the brink of nature.

The Mongolian artist Dalkh-Ochir presents his artistry, gives seminars, and creates installations in Östersund & at Sauna Art Projects in Stockholm, Nov 2003, and in Stockholm during Art Fair, and with an installation in the streets, 2005.

Save the Children

A collaboration with Save the Children in Ulan Bator through their project within video and circus. Presentations and talks in Sweden on Save the Childrens video project in Nov 2003. Social Circus takes part in Art Camp’s Show at the Mongolian National Drama Theatre, and 3 children of the video project document Art Camp – 04 and – 05.
